The engineers have worked hard to reduce the internal friction of the engine, but the downside is no heat. I also blame the stupid 170 F engine coolant thermostat that Honda uses. There is currently no aftermarket 205 F thermostat available. The dealer replaced my thermostat after doing a warm-up tests with my Civic and one they had in inventory.

Vehicle (s) '18 Civic Si Coupe. May 4, 2020. #3. Either way, you're in for some big money upgrades. I hope you're rich man. If you install a turbo kit etc, you might have to consider a clutch, internals, etc for the added power, a custom tune and the list goes on. An engine swap will probably cost you even more lol, multiple thousands of $$$.
